Board Chairman and CEO

President Barack Obama has designated Dallas Tonsager Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Farm Credit Administration effective November 22, 2016.

He succeeds Kenneth A. Spearman, who served as Chairman and CEO since March 13, 2015. Mr. Tonsager has served as a member of the FCA Board since his appointment by President Obama in March 2015.

A direct final rule on the assessment and apportionment of administrative expenses was published in the Federal Register today. The purpose of the rule is to eliminate obsolete, unnecessary, and confusing references in the definition of risk-adjusted assets. The comment period ends on November 20, 2017.
